Take control of your life and lead your actions to find a serious home based business!

By Phyllis Boulton

Do you allow someone else to take the lead to control your actions? It is really worth all your time and effort to find out the details that will affect your future. If you are serious, think about locating an online business the same way you would a traditional business and ask responsible and reasonable questions:
•  Is the business going to attract customers? Is it going to be a stable commodity or service that people are going to want time after time?
•  Can you see yourself working this kind of business?
•  How much is the business start-up cost and what does it include?
•  What additional payments will you have to or be expected to make?
•  How much time will you need or can you expect to put in to get any profitable results?
•  Is there live training as well as live support available or are you expected to go it alone to find your own way or “duplicate” someone else?

Use your common sense and don’t get caught up in all the hype and the “guaranteed” income you will make. Take a reality check and understand that YOU will have to put in quality work in order to reap any reward. Check the policies and procedures of a company before you join so that you have clear outline of your rights and responsibilities. What you will be most interested in is getting a position within the company that is mutually advantageous; ideally to you first and then the company (you get paid and then the company gets paid). Always be cautious and read the fine print and ask lots of questions.

Building a serious, strong and profitable online business is worth every bit of the time, work and effort you put into it. Look for proven and already successful Internet businesses. If you only surf the Internet and then join the one that appeals to you because of the hype it has presented … you may be asking for what you get. You may be allowing someone else to control the actions of YOUR home based business! If you have less than a happy or profitable experience, don’t judge other reputable and stable Internet businesses by that experience. You will be doing them a disservice as well as yourself.

“Here is the prime condition of success: Concentrate your energy, thought and capital exclusively upon the business in which you are engaged. Having begun on one line, resolve to fight it out on that line, to lead in it, adopt every improvement, have the best machinery, and know the most about it.” – Andrew Carnegie
